Damn Mosquitoes
The only place in my hotel with wifi is the lobby, which is infested with mosquitoes. So, in 80 degree weather, I wear shoes, jeans, sweatshirt with hood in order to armor myself from them awful insects while I surf the web.
I made the mistake of not taking these precautions, and it resulted in 5 very painful and huge bites. Though I loathe them, I have to say I’m impressed by their fierce...
I have arrived in Nairobi, Kenya!
My goodbyes before leaving home got a little emotional, and I was still pretty nervous about it all. But, I bravely stepped on that plane and focused on going go to London first.
I spent a quick couple hours in London. A friend from BU studying abroad showed me around a bit, and helped me rush to buy an iPod (forgot mine at home, but that’s ok b/c I needed a new one anyway) before heading...

Found out today that someone already created my brilliant (or so I thought) idea of a company. Maybe I’ll just apply to work for them when I get back, instead of going through the trouble.
Oh wait - “all-volunteer staff”. Eff. Why can’t you get paid for doing good around here?
I just wish ASH would open it’s own office and pay me to work full-time.
